Bankitas accounts increased the use of various electronic means, as well as less use of physical money, resulting in greater security for consumers of financial products and services.

The data were revealed in the stability report of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), realizing that in 2022 Bankita accounts were mostly transacted through Automatic Payment Terminals (APT), representing 59,33 percent of the total.

The operations also contributed to the 1,7 percent reduction in complaints, which dropped to 6.967 complaints in June of the current year, with emphasis on the reduction in complaints relating to debit cards and Internet banking.

According to the document, the operations also contributed to the improvement of services provided to banking and non-banking consumers, with 254 sanctioning processes having been instructed, of which 55,5 percent corresponded to banking institutions and the remainder to non-banking institutions.

Aiming at the development of education and financial inclusion, in the fourth quarter of 2021, 412 lectures were held, compared to 171 in the same period, aimed at 14 participants from different regions of the country, compared to the 866 that took place in the same period. The Bankita account continues to show a growing trajectory over the years, which can be associated with the positive results of training and qualification actions, lectures on financial education as well as awareness campaigns, which in turn contributed to the increase in levels of financial inclusion.
