It is not by magic nor by the force of thought that an application helps us perform this task. GMote and your name.
This application allows you to use your phone to play music on your computer remotely. Another interesting feature is that we use the mobile phone as a wireless mouse (using the touchpad). One condition for using GMote is the existence of a wireless network (Wi-Fi), which should not be difficult to achieve, now almost everyone has one of those genres at home.
Part 1 - Steps for Using GMote:
- Install GMote on your Android phone. You can find it in the Android Market or do the direct download.
- Download and install the Gmote server on your computer. Here's Link (the provided link is for Windows, but there are also versions for Mac OS and Linux)
After installation, you must configure the server:

b) Choose the folder on your computer where the songs you want to play using the remote control are stored
3. After completing the installation on your computer, go to the notifications area and look for the following:
In my case the IP was: 192.168.69.1 - check your, it will be very similar to that.
Part 2 - phone configuration
After finishing the configuration on the computer we moved to the configuration of the remote, ie the mobile phone.
When starting the application on the mobile phone (after connecting to the same Wi-Fi network that the computer is connected to) it will ask to find the server, the most efficient way is to “enter the IP manually"(Enter IP Manually) - in this case I entered the IP given by the server on the computer - 192.168.69.1 - Please, check your IP.
After completing this step, you will be ready to run your computer from a distance.
