In her approach, the director informed there are two types of piracy, “broadcast piracy which includes the use of audio and video content without the consent of the rights holders and cyber piracy or internet piracy which is the greatest threat to content owners, broadcasters and operators".

He noted that most pirated content via the Internet is software, music, literature and video content, including live sports and recent movies, broadcast on DSTV channels and other subscription platforms.
