Security issues are not normal in iOS or on macOS. Apple takes care to protect its operating systems and ensure that they are immune to problems. A new threat is circulating and attacking iOS, with a simple message infecting this system, without the user having to do anything.
This is a new threat and that until now was not known in iOS. The name of the campaign that is using this malware is, for now, Operation Triangulation, seeking to infect many users of this product from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, completely silently.
Its way of acting is the same as many others that have already been seen in the past. A simple message sent to iMessage has the ability to infect iOS with this malware and that it will arrive completely silently, without the user having to take any action.

Once it is infected, and again silently, it tries to steal user data. By getting administrator permissions on iOS, something that appears to be simple with the alleged flaw it is exploiting, it quickly gains access to the most sensitive areas of Apple's system.
At that moment you can still communicate with your remote server and download and install some additional code. It is here that you will collect the information and send it to your destination, where you will deliver all the data collected from the user.
There is also an interesting feature that makes it even quieter. After carrying out the function for which it was prepared, this malware tries to erase all traces of its intervention. It goes as far as deleting the iMessage message that led to it entering iOS.
