It is an application for the android system that consists of queries of Portuguese words with their translation in sign language and character filter for a quick search.
The project began to be created in 2014 by a group of university students Mandume and Ndemufayo, from Lubango, called ALERT DANGER. It arose from the need for some group members to be able to communicate with hearing impaired family members and as a way to facilitate interaction with people with hearing impairment without having to attend a special school. The App has two glossaries one formed by words and the other formed by phrases. In the first module the user will learn the words and then move on to the phrases. When you click on one of the options and search for a word or phrase a video is played explaining how that word or phrase is translated into sign language, the application is intelligent and interactive, it searches for words that are not registered in the system. Allows you to search for lyrics and voice.
The group has more innovative projects and the launch of the application is scheduled to be announced, the application comes not only to promote the talent of young people at the technology level, but to improve interaction and promote social inclusion.
