Deloitte presents in Angola the technological trends that will impact the future of organizations

1020

Nowadays, flexibility and trust are the keywords associated with the main technological trends that will impact Angolan companies over the next two years. With technology playing a decisive role in the future of companies, digital transformation represents a new arena of innovation and differentiation between economic agents in an increasingly global and integrated context.

Based on this assumption, Deloitte presented the 14th edition of the study Tech Trends, which analyzes the different ways in which organizations are adapting and using increasingly powerful technological tools to design their future. The presentation took place at Hotel Sana, in Luanda.

Second António Veríssimo, Partner at Deloitte, “the trends presented in the Tech Trends highlight the importance of organizations exploring new approaches and adopting emerging technologies to be more competitive, improve their business models and improve operational gains. Integrating these technologies for the benefit of the business fabric and promoting technological inclusion are crucial factors for the social development, diversification and growth of the Angolan economy.”

The annual edition of Tech Trends identifies six trends that together provide a framework for continued evolution toward three strategies: simplicity, intelligence, and abundance. These trends are expected to impact businesses over the next two years. In the study presentation session, special emphasis was given to the three main trends that are expected to have the greatest impact on Angolan organizations, namely:

  • Flexibility, the best competency of Technological Talent: The Technological Human Capital factor continues to be at the center of organizations' concerns, taking into account the scarcity of qualified resources and the difficulties in retaining Talent. The competition for qualified and increasingly valuable IT personnel forces us to consider flexible mechanisms for (i) evaluating and developing the most appropriate technical/human skills at each moment in the technological innovation cycle, (ii) in the process of recruitment, training , Talent requalification and (iii) career models that can provide for new lateral movements between different technologies.
  • Gaining trust in Artificial Intelligence (AI): The impact of applying AI technologies in organizations is unequivocal (increased efficiency, automation of tasks/processes, improved customer experience, increased competitiveness and innovation). However, an increasing adoption of IA It requires a progressive increase in the degree of confidence that organizations have in their decision models, the way they process and generate data, the results obtained, etc. Organizations therefore invest in mechanisms that allow them to have greater confidence in the IA as they expand their adoption to new business models and processes: defining data sampling, reliability/error thresholds, decision and performance standards, degree of personalization of decisions, among others.
  • Above the Cloud: as organizations modernize processes and drive innovation increasingly supported by technological services and solutions based on Cloud, the complexity of this ecosystem increases due to the use of several different supplier partners, infrastructure and software. It is therefore necessary to adopt a new approach to metacloud which corresponds to a compatibility layer for common services, such as storage and computing, Artificial Intelligence, data, security, operations, development and implementations in a consistent way and with centralized control.

During the session, the remaining three trends were also illustrated, which are expected to also begin to impact the reality of national companies in the near future: Relying on decentralized architecture models, the connection of mainframes emerging technologies and the use of Metaverso as a way of accessing the immersive internet for companies.

In the context of the study presentation event Tech Trends, which brought together dozens of Deloitte partner organizations in the Public and Private sectors, the possibility of Angola using the tools available in the hub do AI Institute from Deloitte, which aims to contribute to the development and sharing of case studies for the applicability of Artificial Intelligence techniques to various sectors of the Economy with a particular focus on the African Continent.
