Details of Samsung's new smart watch

2,5's OLED touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera, loudspeakers, are some of the hot details that GigaOM has now missed on Galaxy Gear, Samsung's new smartwatch.

Underneath the hood, this "toy" also has a dual-core processor, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (which will be used to communicate with the mobile phone) and an accelerometer that will allow many applications that will depend on the position, angle and slope of the watch.

It seems that Samsung for this gadget does not want to rely on Google's (Google Play) store and wants, like Apple, to create a closed system to be able to better manage Gear applications. Then all apps will have to be downloaded from the Samsung app store and not from the Google store.

Moreover, unlike smartwatches that already exist in the market, Samsung seems not to be willing to have your watch communicate with other phones other than Samsung, the truth is that even Android phones can take advantage of Gear, only Samsung devices, period.

The company in South Korea intends to optimize its product and perhaps this will be the first step towards the creation of an increasingly closed and more controlled ecosystem like Apple's. More specific information even if Samsung announces before the event scheduled for September or if any company has access to more reliable information than the latter.
