offSome users are so Addicts connected to their computers, who fall asleep with their heads on the keyboard. To make it clear, this is not good for the health of your computer, remember that the (or ENE) is not very friendly with our machines, the power supply can be damaged by the "comes and goes"Of electricity.

From time to time we need to shut down / hibernate / restart the computer. How about doing this in a programmed way.

1ª Option: using the menu "execute"

Let's say you want to shut down your computer in 1 hour -> 60 minutes -> 3600 seconds. Follow these steps:

  • Press "Windows + R"
  • In the box that appears, enter: " shutdown -s -t 3600 "(Do not enter the high commas)
  • Press "Ok" and you're done, the countdown will start to restart your computer

2ª Option: using the "ShutDowner" application

This app is super lightweight (24KB) and does exactly what the previous command promises to do, added some extras. These extras are the options to restart or hibernate the computer at the time we want. To use it, follow the steps:

  • Unzip the files using Winzip or another decompressor of your choice.
  • Create a folder on the desktop (or another location) -> “Shutdowner”, copy the unzipped files to that folder.
  • Run Shutdowner

Okay, now you can let the music play, go to bed and know that if you fall asleep, you'll still find the computer turned off. Set the time, action (Off / Restart / Hibernate) and press the "Set Shutdown". Unfortunately the interface of the program is not yet in Portuguese, but there are few buttons and intuitive enough, everyone will be able to work. I expect…
