Tim Cook said that Apple Watch will not become a regulated medical device but Apple can make another product that is, in an interview with The Telegraph. Put the Apple Watch in “medicinal tests” would greatly delay the launch cycle and decrease “Apple's innovation capacity” differently than it was even before the launch of the watches when we learned that Apple could “fill” its new device with several types of medical sensors.
And what device would that be?
Tim Cook doesn't stray too far from Apple's view of health, he also said he wouldn't mind putting something adjacent to the Apple Watch in tests at the FDA (American Agency that controls Medicines and Medicine-related products).
Asked what it would be, he replied that it could be an application or something else, such products can only go through tests if they prove themselves that they can diagnose or treat a disease meaning that this product would have to do more than simply monitor someone's activity and heart rate thing that Apple Watch already does.
