Djassi Africa and ABAC team up to strengthen entrepreneurship in Cape Verde

A Djassi Africa and ABAC (Business Angels Cape Verde Association) announced a joint strategic partnership to foster the development of an investment culture and the strengthening of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Cape Verde.

According to the official statement, present on its platforms, the partnership is based on the commitment of “maximize the impact of Business Angel investment in Cape Verde and drive a strong investment community in early-stage startups in the country".

The partnership between the two organizations will promote the Business Angel investment culture in Cape Verde and grow the entrepreneurship ecosystem by empowering a new generation of Business Angel investors (through training and investment programs), supporting local entrepreneurs through of Djassi Africa programs, co-investment in startups, sharing knowledge and organizing events that unite and foster the ecosystem.

Djassi Africa is an institution that invests in innovation and impact entrepreneurship with the potential to accelerate the digital and technological transformation of the African continent. Based on the scope of its mission, the institution empowers African innovators and entrepreneurs through capacity building, startup development, access to investment and innovation ecosystems, with the aim of boosting development and prosperity on the continent.

On the other hand, ABAC represents Cape Verde's Business Angel investment community (including the diaspora), with the aim of fostering, supporting and financing startups and SMEs in the country. It also promotes policies that promote innovation and responsible and long-term investment in Cape Verde, creating a bridge between high potential entrepreneurs and Business Angel investors.
