The .AO domain will be outsourced to private companies, according to the director of the National Institute for the Promotion of the Information Society (INFOSI), André Pedro.
The manager who was speaking at the launch of the country's National Cloud Infrastructure Implementation Project, underlined that with this change of domain, INFOSI will become simply a market regulator, after the Completion of National Cloud, dedicated to issuing licenses to the companies that will be responsible for the domain.
Since last year, the Angolan Executive has ordered the domain store crashes on the platform SEPE.gov.ao and began to function autonomously at the Domains address (https://dominios.ao).

This change was intended to improve the services provided to national civil society, as well as to ensure greater availability of the domain store.
It should be noted that the current cost for acquiring a .AO domain is around eight thousand kwanzas per year, a value that the sector will maintain by outsourcing, and control for the price of acquiring this electronic service.
