The president of Global Affairs at Meta, Nick Clegg, stated in an interview with Reuters that the technology giant – responsible for Facebook and Instagram – has used publications shared by users to train its new assistant 'powered' by artificial intelligencel.

However, Clegg notes that only public publications were used. This means that publications shared privately – only with followers, friends and family – were not used to train this AI. "We have attempted to exclude datasets that have a strong preponderance of personal information", said Clegg.

The Meta representative also added that the company took some measures to exclude private data from this process, but did not offer details about this process.
