Former US president Scott Gast's lawyer sent a letter to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg asking him to "a meeting to discuss expedited readmission” by Donald Trump on the social network.

Donald Trump had been suspended from the social network, for a period of two years, following the attack by his supporters on the Capitol, on January 6, 2021.

Questioned by AFP, a spokesperson for Meta, Facebook's parent company, referred a decision on this request "in the next weeks".
Donald Trump has already been readmitted to the Twitter on November 19, 2022, four days after declaring his candidacy for the 2024 presidential elections.
However, he has not yet published any messages on this account, communicating mainly through his own platform, Truth Social.
