A DP World Luanda, the company that won the international tender to operate the Multipurpose Terminal (TMU) in the Port of Luanda, with a 20-year concession, made available to customers, earlier this week, the use of a digital tool to monitor and manage cargo sent to the Multipurpose Terminal.

According to what was revealed to journalists in a press release, the digital platform is named CargoesFlow and was developed by the technological team of the DP World Group, and aims to monitor in real time the dispatch and arrival of orders passing through that terminal.

The technological innovation allows customers to manage delays and the expectations of the suppliers to whom the cargo is destined and, consequently, minimize the resulting financial losses.

CargoesFlow is available on the DP World, and according to the multinational, the tool can now be downloaded immediately, quickly and safely for any and all users of the Multipurpose Terminal (TMU) in the Port of Luanda. After registering with CargoesFlow, customers have access to real-time information on the location of their cargo, expected arrival dates at destination, and expected pick-up dates.

It should also be noted that CargoesFlow records the customer's history, with detailed information on all movements carried out in the Multipurpose Terminal of the Port of Luanda – the containers received, the days of arrival and the days of delivery, the hours necessary for their availability, including any accidents that may have occurred and how they were resolved.

All the information on that platform can be accessed 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world, and where DP World Luanda customers can manage their businesses more efficiently and with effective gains in results, since with this tool saves time and resources, adds the company in a statement.

Patrick Anderson, commercial director of DP World Luanda, says that with CargoesFlow “all our customers will always know where and how their cargo is, from the moment the container is shipped until its arrival in Luanda, unloading and delivery, as well as the eventual return of empty containers".

Finally, the manager emphasizes that the “CargoesFlow was conceived to increase the efficiency of the Angolan port sector and generate greater operational transparency, two variables that are extremely important for customers of any terminal, but which until recently were neglected here in Angola".
