The British company Dyson invested 15 million dollars, for a company to develop a battery with a greater autonomy compared to the current models.

The smartphone is undoubtedly one of the most widely used gadgets in the world, and everyone is happy because we are out of primeval age using only the phone to send a simple sms, and receive a call. Today we can enjoy much more than a fully developed phone for the 21st Century. Plus the biggest problem of the smartphone is the low battery life that it offers us.

That is why Dyson made the investment of 15 million dollars for a Sakti3 company that started at the University of Michigan, they have developed a battery that will use a solid lithium electrode that will store twice the Lithium Ion batteries we use today, and this technology could be used in everything from smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, electric cars and of course vacuum cleaners (remember that Dyson is a company in the vacuum cleaner business).

Unlike standard liquid mixtures, new batteries will use a solid lithium electrode, thus eliminating the risk of explosion and also provide greater safety, unlike batteries that use the liquid electrolyte.

With the benefit of having a battery that can double the charge, different from current batteries. The understanding between the two batteries Sakit3 and Dyson, the British company now has the right to commercialize the technology invented by the Americans. And Dyson intends to launch 100 new products in the next 5 years, one of them a robot vacuum cleaner that could benefit from this new battery.
