One of the biggest video game events in the world, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (better known as E3), it will not happen again.
Confirmation was given by the event organizer, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), through its page on the social network X (formerly Twitter) and also via The Washington Post. According to CEO and president Stanley Pierre-Louis, E3 will no longer take place “after more than two decades of organizing an event that served as a showcase for the global video game industry in the USA”.

It's worth remembering that E3 started in 2005, but since then, "new competitors, partner departures, changing audience habits and disruptions caused by the pandemic" contributed to the “E3 meltdown”.
It is also important to highlight that, since then, the Summer Games Fest organized by Geoff Keighley (the same person responsible for The Game Awards) has become the biggest video game event of the summer.
