
National Police personnel must master security solutions to protect data and network systems from malicious information, hacker attacks and viruses, argued trainer and inspector Bernardo Viegas.
The expert, who was speaking during a lecture on cybersecurity under the motto “Angola is now part of the world ranking of countries with cyber attacks”, stressed that “dIn view of this reality, all National Police personnel must master security solutions such as Firewall, Antivirus, Multifactor Authentication, this control system serves to protect data and network systems from malicious information, hacker attacks and viruses.".
The trainer also warned that the systems are not 100% secure and criminals are always looking for opportunities to steal or blackmail victims into paying the ransom in cryptocurrency.
“For this reason, staff must be trained in cybersecurity,” he added.
The Inspector also advised participants not to have a single PIN for all accounts, to have their phones with a pattern lock system and to change them periodically.
