The company responsible for Facebook and Instagram, Meta, announced that platform users who wish to have their pages verified will have to pay.
The decision was seen as a way to emulate what was recently done by Elon Musk on Twitter, with the businessman having already reacted on Twitter. In response to a post on Twitter realizing that Zuckerberg had “copied” Twitter, Musk simply replied that it was something "inevitable".
