The leader of the social network X (or Twitter), Elon Musk, stated in a meeting with the company's workers that he hopes the platform will be able to deal with users' financial lives by the end of 2024.
“When I say payments, I mean someone’s entire financial life” explained Musk. “If it involves money, it will be on our platform. Money, titles, whatever. It's not just sending money to a friend. I’m talking about you don’t need a bank account.”.

It was at this point that X's CEO, Linda Yaccarino, said that this "great opportunity" should appear in 2024. "I'll be very surprised if we haven't released this by the end of next year", said Yaccarino.
