After rumors circulated about the intention to Elon Musk to create his own Artificial Intelligence (AI) lab, news continues to arrive indicating that the businessman's ambitions in this area are not new and that, in fact, he had already tried to acquire other companies in the area.
According to The Wall Street Journal website, Elon Musk made an attempt to buy DeepMind before Google finalized the acquisition of this AI laboratory in 2014. The publication mentions that Musk tried to acquire DeepMind somewhere in the final stretch of 2013, casting doubt on how the then CEO from Google, Larry Page, would develop the AI technology.
