Angolan engineer creates app to help people with disabilities

The Angolan Patrícia Aline Porfírio Silvestre, Computer Engineering and postgraduate in Designer, created an application that will help people with disabilities, namely quadriplegics and blind people, who, using the created platform, will be able to use any computer or electronic device through a voice command.

According to the highly specialized technique, in an interview with Jornal de Angola, the application is currently under development and where it could come from "improving the lives of people with disabilities” in Angola, and where currently “continues to refine the idea, with the project in development".

Still speaking to the main Angolan daily, Patrícia Silvestre said that she has always been fascinated by the world of computer technology, where her portfolio includes the creation of an algorithm that detects plagiarism, an application she created when she was a teacher at a school in the city of Luanda, country's capital.
