The number of cybercrime occurrences in Angola in recent years demonstrates the clear need to increasingly invest in prevention actions, especially by specialized entities, particularly those linked to defense and security forces.

This opinion was defended by several experts who debated in the “Pacto da Nação” on RÁDIO NOVA 102.5 FM, reiterating that caution must be exercised, firstly, by users of social networks, as well as society asks authorities to invest in cybersecurity policies, in order to more effectively detect and neutralize crimes and combat digital insecurity.

According to public safety and digital security experts, it is up to citizens, particularly social media users, to check their bank accounts frequently to ensure there is no suspicious activity.

They also recommend that you avoid accessing suspicious links, sharing personal data and photos with unknown people online, using the same password for all accounts, in addition to authenticating passwords, to be less exposed to fraudsters.

The advice also includes changing passwords regularly, using antivirus software, which includes protection against identity theft, in addition to not updating bank details through links available on social networks.
