Cunene students highlight the advantages of ICTs for social inclusion

Students from the province of Cunene argue that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) contribute to increasing young people's interest in classes and raises social inclusion rates.

Speaking in reference to the 17th of May (International Telecommunications and Information Day), the students stressed that ICTs are a source of curricular research and interaction with other students.

For Tuzaka Tulivenaya, 11th grade of the Biochemistry course, he pointed out that information technologies help to readjust old knowledge, not programmed in the curricular systems, as well as in helping theoretical and practical development.

Students Angelina Catumbo, Mónica Etiandra and Stela Ngenehafo, from the 12th language course, stressed that the application of new technologies has a great impact on the development of populations, in particular young women.

Speaking for the report of ANGOP, emphasize that ICTs help to develop, contact and research certain subjects from the academic world, improve learning in various aspects that are often not transmitted in classrooms.

For his part, sociologist Cristino Catambue considered the world of technology a valuable communication tool, which should become a school and serve above all for training and information.

He said that ICTs brought several advantages to society, becoming an instrument for the technical and intellectual training of man, as well as the speed of information.

He regretted the misuse of these instruments, with emphasis on social networks, where intentionally violent messages and disrespect for reaching people, families or institutions are verified.
