ITEL students create a technological application that corrects tests without human intervention

A group of students from Telecommunications Institute (ITEL) created a technological application that allows the creation of personalized tests and automatic corrections, without the need for human intervention.

"When a candidate starts the test, the system generates a personalized exam sheet with unique questions and candidate data (name, process number, code, etc.). This helps to ensure the individuality of the evidence. After the candidates (or students) have taken the test, the answers are submitted to the system, which compares them with the expected correct answers and automatically corrects them. After the response validation process, the candidates' scores are calculated, recorded by the system and made available immediately.,” said the institution's IT Course coordinator, Manuel Paulo Tumba.

According to the professor, technological innovation works through a set of technologies, algorithms and has a database of previously defined questions, with the respective correct answers.

Still on the project, users can select specific criteria, such as theme, difficulty level and number of questions, to generate a unique test.

It should also be noted that the application can be used both in basic education institutions and in higher education institutions. It can also be applied in professional training programs, training courses, selection test for an application process and assessment of skills in different sectors.
