Previously, Facebook held on to the goal of giving people the power to share and make the world more open and connected. ” To a certain extent, this is still one of the points we encounter when we access the platform. But in a new publication, the creator and CEO Mark Zuckerberg recognized the serious deficiencies and blind spots that the mission of his company created.
Once you have recognized the problem that your platform brought, the same pointed out that in the future the company will consider what happens after it connects people and try to manage those effects for the better.
According to Zuckerberg, “At times like these, the most important thing your company can do with Facebook is to develop social infrastructure to give people the power to build a global community that works for all of us ”.
In more than 5.800 words, Zuckerberg mentioned the term “social infrastructure”14 times without ever really describing what it is, or what it will be. But, at a high level, he writes that this infrastructure has five goals: to help users build communities that are supportive, safe, informed, committed and inclusive civilians. “For the past decade, Facebook has focused on connecting friends and families,” wrote Zuckerberg. “On this basis, our next focus will be to develop the social infrastructure for the community.”
Therefore, we do not know for sure what will be on the mind of the CEO of Facebook, but the team of Less Fios is attentive to know what will arise in this social infrastructure that the social network intends to implement.
