O Facebook is once again copying a feature from the Snapchat to your message application- Messenger. Called “streaks“, A resource, which should act as a challenge, is an incentive for users to keep in daily contact with their friends.
Os streaks have become popular especially among young people, who pride themselves on maintaining series with dozens or hundreds of consecutive days. In Snapchat a notification is sent if the user is about to miss a streak.
The function is nothing more than an icon in lightning format, which appears next to the contacts with whom you kept the conversation in the last days. The tool still shows a kind of timer, which indicates how many days you have been talking.

The feature is still in the testing phase, so it is not available to all users. According to a company spokesman, Facebook is quite curious to find out if people are going to have fun with the novelty, but also says that there is still no additional information on the streaks.
Soon the feature will be announced for Messenger users worldwide and if it is a success, it can be implemented in the Whatsapp.
