O Facebook is developing a version of Stories for desktops. The social network is already testing the function with some users around the world.
The adaptation of photos and videos that disappear in 24 hours, however, cannot be done using a webcam. The function would be just to view the Stories without needing a smartphone. The test was confirmed by Facebook; the company says the feature is expected to gain a broader release soon.
The publication indicates that Facebook would be planning the momentum of using Stories in the social network. The tool is widely used in Instagram, which competes directly with Snapchat.
Remember that Facebook Stories is not the only feature of the type launched by the social network with clear inspiration in rival Snapchat. The list also includes Instagram Stories and WhatsApp Status.
