Facebook has been working on a new infrastructure to integrate its popular applications: MessengerWhatsApp e Instagram. The move would allow Facebook Messenger users to forward messages to Instagram or WhatsApp contacts and vice versa.

According to the newspaper report The New York Times each of the applications would continue to operate as they are today, individually, but that the messaging infrastructure of these apps would be changed in such a way that the user would be able to send messages from any one of them to any other of the company's apps, which will allow answer that professional WhatsApp contact without having to leave Instagram or any message received by Messenger without having to leave WhatsApp and open another application.

By uniting the infrastructure of your applications, Zuckerberg plans to increase the utility of its social network by keeping billions of people in its ecosystem. The idea is simple: with more integration between enterprise applications, fewer people will use the company's rivals to communicate - such as Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), e Google.

In addition, with more interaction with Facebook applications, the company can also increase its advertising revenue, as well as add new billing sources to the apps.

To the newspaper The New York Times , Facebook limited itself in saying, in a statement, that it seeks to develop the best experiences it can, and that people want messaging services to be fast, simple and reliable and added: “We are working to do more with our end-to-end encrypted message products and to consider ways to facilitate access to friends and families through those networks".
