After much controversy and insecurity, some companies started to value this project of having a virtual currency that can serve as a means of payments for devices and services. But behind that, there has been a high volume of misleading ads promising unrealistic gains and which ends up reaching more naive people causing them to lose money.

In order not to influence people to fall for these scams, Facebook decided to ban all ads involving digital currencies. The change goes for absolutely everything involving crypto-coins, including the most notable and respected ones such as bitcoin and Ethereum. O Facebook explained that the decision is not permanent, however. The social network explains that this may change over time, when your platform becomes smarter and able to recognize when an ad is deceptive and harmful to the user. For now, however, they are all banned.
