O Facebook Stories, after its release in March, could only be shared with friends, but from now on the user can already share their stories with the public.

The new public sharing function is only available to users who allow followers on their personal profile. Public Facebook pages have not yet received the news, but the company said it is following a schedule before making the news available to them.

The novelty was discovered by a Twitter user and confirmed by a Facebook spokesman.

To share a story with your followers, just tap on the “Your story” button on the bar displayed at the very beginning of the news feed and take a photo or video with the effects you want. Then, by selecting the button to publish the result, you can define who will see your stories through the settings.

At present, Facebook has more than 2 billion users worldwide. Recently, the Instagram Stories reached the mark of 250 million daily users, exceeded the Snapchat, which has 166 millions of users throughout its application.
