O Facebook is planning to launch its own smart speaker, to compete with similar devices offered by Amazon, Google and Apple.
The platform seems to be developing its version of the gadget that combines sound box with personal assistant capable of becoming a kind of personal secretary with cutting-edge technology. The Facebook device will focus more on displaying visual images through an 15-inch touch screen.

The research company Strategy Analytics claims that sales of these smart devices worldwide reached 5,9 million units in 2016, of which 4,2 million were in the fourth quarter of 2016.
