A serious security flaw has been discovered in Chromium, the operating system that underpins browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, potentially affecting billions of users worldwide.

The vulnerability lies in the Blink rendering engine, responsible for displaying web pages, and has the potential to completely crash browsers in just a few seconds.

The problem, dubbed "Brash," was identified by security researcher Jose Pino, who explained in his analysis that the flaw can freeze any Chromium-based browser in less than a minute.

The scale of the risk is enormous: only the Google Chrome It has around 3 billion active users, according to data from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Other browsers, such as Microsoft Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, and even ChatGPT Atlas, may also be affected by the vulnerability.
