Fake Windows 10 Update Used to Invasive Computers

3308

Less than a week after the launch of Windows 10, the Cisco security team, has discovered a scam that will cause users of this operating system to lose money.
According to them, the evildoers pretending to be Microsoft, send a random email containing a supposed update of Windows 10. Basically, this update has the purpose of invading the computer of those who request it.

According to Cisco the email looks like this:

Windows10-Hit

When downloading, from this application, dubbed ransomware (from English Ransom - ransom / hostage), the computer is blocked and the user is then asked to send money via Bitcoin to get his device back to normal; this payment method makes it difficult to track the wrongdoers.

Microsoft does not send updates via email, so once you receive one, please delete it immediately.
Windows users 7 and 8 since June 29 who have received direct notifications for their handsets and the upgrade to Windows 10 is free.

The only way to update Windows 10, is the one shown in the image below or using the official Microsoft website.
