FITITEL 2023. Projects must be improved to serve Angolan society

The projects presented in the 14th edition of Technological Innovation Fair of the Telecommunications Institute (FITITEL 2023), which took place from the 07th to the 9th of September, with the motto: “Technological innovation at the service of road safety”, must be improved so that they are at the effective service of Angolan society, according to the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira.

Speaking during his visit to the technological event, where he could interact with the innovative projects of students from the Luanda Telecommunications Institute (ITEL), the minister stressed that innovations have great potential to be feasible and move on to the experimental, production and commercialization phase. .

As an example, he pointed to the motorcycle taxi driver control project, a technological tool that allows motorcycles to operate only when wearing a helmet, as one of the innovations capable of minimizing the road accident rate in the country.

Therefore, Mário Oliveira called on the business sector to support the transformation of the projects exhibited at the fair into reality, making use of students' creations, which can be useful to society and the national economy.

"The ideas are clear, it is only up to entrepreneurs and industries to work to transform them into concrete actions.“, he highlighted.

The official highlighted that the projects presented by ITEL coincide with the work being developed by the Provincial Government of Luanda related to the organization of urban traffic, a fact that could contribute significantly to the reduction of road accidents.
