The 16th edition of the Technological Innovation Fair of the Luanda Institute of Telecommunications (FITITEL) has been taking place since yesterday (18) and runs until the 13th, which takes place under the motto “Digital Technologies for a Healthy and Sustainable Society".
The opening event was attended by various figures, such as the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Mário Augusto da Silva Oliveira, the Secretary of State for Secondary Education, Gildo Matias, the Director General of ITEL, Cláudio Gonçalves, the Director General of the Industrial Polytechnic Institute of Luanda (IPIL), Philomene Carlos, the Director of the Journalists Training Center (Cefojor), Ikuma José Bamba, as well as ITEL students and representatives of various companies in the sector.
The National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) is another body that is present at the event, and where it is giving a free mini-course on “Space Applications for Startups“, and is part of the objective of showing the potential of the business of space applications in Angola, the use of satellite images, data sources and open-source tools for geographic information systems and image processing.
