There has been a lot of talk about folding smartphones recently, and Samsung was one of the first companies to introduce its prototype in the Mobile World Congress 2019. But it seems that once again, Samsung is already having problems.
Yes, the Galaxy fold is already in trouble, reports surfaced yesterday that several media that had the opportunity to test the device, already suffered with the breakage of the device. It seems they are facing more of a kind of problem, mainly linked to the device's innovative foldable display technology, and in a statement released tonight Samsung said it "will inspect these units personally to determine the cause of the problem."
Message from Samsung:
A limited number of Galaxy Fold's initial samples were provided to the media for review. We have received some reports on the primary display on the samples provided. We will thoroughly inspect these units in person to determine the cause of the problem.
Separately, some reviewers reported having removed the top layer of the monitor, causing damage to the screen. The Galaxy Fold main screen has a protective top layer which is part of the display frame designed to protect the screen from unwanted scratches. Removing the protective layer or adding stickers to the main display can cause damage. We will ensure that this information is clearly delivered to our customers.
According to the Wall Street Journal , Joanna Stern , the planned launch for April 26 has not yet shown any signs of delay. But we will wait for the next few days to be sure of the problem with the device.
