According to the director of the provincial office of Registries and Administrative Modernization of Namibe, Lenine dos Santos, said that data protection plays an important role in the context of guaranteeing fundamental rights and reserving the privacy of citizens who feel deprived of institutional protection.

This type of protection, he underlined, is recognized by the Universal Declaration and the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights, which prioritizes respect for the private life of any person.

"We were presented with how each institution must preserve the private life of the citizen, in order to guarantee the trust of the users in the protection and personal reserve”, he considered.
