To raise interest in space technology, and based on the World Space Week, which took place from October 04th to 10th, the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) carried out small activities all over the country related to space and the theme “Space and Sustainability”.
For that year, a large number of activities were carried out, such as Workshops and lectures related to Astronomy; Space or science fiction themed movie marathon; Special thematic exhibitions in research centers, museums, schools, churches and community centers; Crafts and drawings; Exhibition and art galleries, etc; Short courses linked to space themes.

With the participation of teaching institutions and society in general, such as public and private institutions, companies, science and research centres, the events took place with the aim of celebrating the contribution of science and space technology to the improvement of the human condition.
For this year 2022 the theme chosen was “Space and Sustainability”, in order to approach sustainability from two angles: how space benefits society and contributes to sustainable development on Earth e what challenges lie ahead to keep space activities and the space environment safe and sustainable.
