Global Startup Awards Africa. Awards ceremony dates announced

It will be on the next 14-15 June 2022, Cape Town, South Africa, that the inaugural event of the Global Startup Awards – Africa (AFRICAN INNOVATION CELEBRATION), which constitute a continental survey across 55 countries, with the aim of identifying startups that have managed to find solutions in various categories with a focus on financial inclusion, HealthTech, AgriTech, Fintech, renewable energy, sustainability and female empowerment in ICTs.

On the first day of the event, prizes will be awarded to Global Startup Awards Africa winners and industry experts, as well as a series of panel discussions with topics that address some of the challenges facing African startups.

The second day will serve for sessions of matchmaking highly curated with the winners and runners-up of the Global Startup Awards Africa 2021. Throughout the competition, it became clear that many of the startups could be of enormous benefit to both the public and private sectors, with solutions that could truly change the world in that we live. The organization also adds that that same day is only open to those who wish to meet with the winners of GSA Africa, with a view to creating partnerships and building business.

Although no Angolan startup was chosen as the winner, in the existing categories, the national digital entrepreneurship ecosystem was very present, with the following Startups: Kepya, Paga3, Arotec, AngoWaste, Disruption Lab, OneShop, Movimenta, OngueYa, Kubinga and Spot.
