Being a reference in the world of technology is not easy. Companies like IBM have decades of tradition, Microsoft, Apple, are other examples. But the company that has changed the direction of the internet, or rather, of technology, is Google (not exclusively, to make it clear). On dates like today, we stopped to think that Google has become one of the most valuable companies in the world with “only” 17 years of existence.
To celebrate your day, the Google set up a festive Doodle, showing a desktop with an open search engine, balloons around it and a penguin (a likely reference to Linux, the basis of the Android system).
Google’s story is well known, founded by Larry Page e Sergey Brin, who had created a search engine in 1996, only in 1998 did they formalize the project and create the brand. The Google project resulted from the PhD thesis in Computer Science of the two founders at Stanford University.
Despite starting business on September 4, 1998, the domain registration for Google.com took place on September 15 of the same year, but the anniversary is celebrated on the 27th of the same month, since 2006 that has been the rule.
Now Google has such an impressive dimension that it has changed its strategy and has become a subsidiary of A, which also includes the other companies in the group in the fields of telecommunications, transport, commerce, scientific research ... in short, a universe.
What has Google reserved for the future? Only living to find out, but one sample will be given on 29.
