Google Chrome Returns to Sources: Announced End of Application Support

Google Chrome

At 2008, when Google started the Chrome project, users were asking for a faster, safer, and simpler to use browser. That's exactly what Google delivered with Chrome, an extremely fast browsing!

However, time has passed and Google has decided to add functionality to the browser. We started with extensions, came the themes and ended up with applications running on the browser itself. Apparently the last resort, which gives the possibility to run applications outside the browser did not work. The statistic shows that only 1% of users actively use these applications. In the next two years, Google will remove browser apps on all operating systems (Windows, macOS and Linux).

By the end of the year, Chrome apps will only be available for Chrome OS. In the second half of 2017, the Google Chrome store will no longer show apps, but anyone who still has something installed will be able to continue using 2018 until apps can not be loaded.

If you use Chrome OS, don’t worry, everything will continue to work the same way.

This is the way Google has found to improve the performance of Google Chrome. Do you think it will work?
