We talked about the Google project that promised to create intelligent contact lenses. This means that soon we will be able to take pictures with the blink of an eye, without the need for an “extra” gadget.

The prototype has been circulating for a few months, but the final version is expected to be 5 at least for at least a year. To speed up this process, Google has entered into an agreement with Novartis, a company based in Sweden, which develops medicines and medical equipment. The objective is clear, to be able to fit smart contact lenses to “normal” contact lenses.

This partnership comes about so that the lenses have a more focused objective to help people, since the lenses may contain sensors, microchips and other electronic devices embedded to check vital aspects of patients, such as the glucose levels in the tears of diabetics , or to restore the natural focus of the eye in people who can no longer read without glasses.
