The Chinese government has Skype or Whatsapp da App Store, the application store of Apple and the application was also blocked on that country's mobile devices.

Skype is also unavailable on major Chinese sites and joins a long black list in China. This year alone, the government strengthened its control of the Internet, forced companies, among other things, to store their data in the country.

According to the Chinese authorities this blockade is due to the fact that Skype does not comply with local laws.

Apple reported that, “the Chinese Ministry of Public Security has informed us that a number of VoIP applications [voice over the Internet] do not comply with local law and that, as a result, have been withdrawn from the App Store in China".

Microsoft, the owner of Skype said that it is a temporary blockade and that the company is working to meet the requirements to be present in the Chinese market as soon as possible.

Although China is one of the world's largest powers in the development of mobile equipment technologies, its policy easily conflicts with what is being lived there.

In September, the WhatsApp it became the most recent service to be banned in China. The increasingly long list also includes the Facebook and the Twitter (since 2009), and Instagram (since 2014).
