To inform you that very recently, the Criminal Investigation Service detained several foreign groups which mined cryptocurrencies with state-of-the-art computer technology in various regions of the country, with emphasis on the province of Kwanza Norte. The suspects were mining cryptocurrencies in several municipalities, where they used computers connected to the internet that each spent more than 1.000 watts/h in the mining process, coupled to several fans and two transformer stations, using electricity from the public network.

With the proposed law, the Government will try to prohibit illegal possession of mining equipment and interference in the national electrical system.
