
The Angolan Government is paying special attention to youth, especially in the field of information and communication technologies, in the opinion of the deputy director of the Angolan Youth Institute (IAJ), José Mateus.
Speaking at the conference on the digital journey of youth for development, at the National Bank of Angola's training on literacy, financial inclusion and digital courses, the person in charge highlighted that the Executive has taken steps to guarantee the digital inclusion of young people.
"Since 2020, there have been applications such as Oi, Kambas and SMS Jovem with interactive information about Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights", said.

Regarding the training, young people were provided with knowledge about “the importance of financial literacy for the empowerment of young people”, “digital financial services”, “the different payment methods and Mobile Money”.
"There is an urgent need for young people to relate knowledge, understanding and application of financial concepts that will allow them to manage money well and also align with the dimension of digital inclusion“, considered the deputy director of the AIJ.
The training took place under the motto “Youth Digital Resources for Sustainable Development”, in partnership with USAID-Angola and the provincial government of Cuanza-Sul.
