O Angolan Government will focus on promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, to improve the country's business and development environment, according to the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa.
Speaking at the opening of the 8th National Conference on Science and Technology (CNCT) and the 3rd Fair of Ideas, Inventions, Innovation and Technology-Based Entrepreneurship (FIebAT), the person responsible informed that the promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation is one of the components of the 3rd strategic axis of the PDN 2023 – 2027, which also includes the promotion of the development of human capital.
As for the 8th edition of the CNCT and 3rd FIebAT, it was carried out under the motto “Technological Entrepreneurship Centered on Inclusive, Resilient and Sustainable Innovation”, being the result of a partnership between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and the Private University of Angola( UPRA).

The two events were once again an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and good practices in scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship, between the different actors of the National Science, Technology and Innovation System, including the private sector.
Among the topics covered, highlights include “Valuing ethnobotanical knowledge: some medicinal plants used in the Coxe commune, Bengo-Angola”; “Angola’s wild food plants: nutritional value and conservation”; the “Review of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy”; “Entrepreneurship in the International University Extension Network” and “Inclusive diversification and energy transition”.
It should also be noted that the two events aimed to present and discuss results of scientific research projects, publicize, reward innovative products, services and processes, as well as promote the transfer of this knowledge to the production sector.
