Sports and technology have always been linked. The control of vital indicators of players, the correlation of statistics, among others, have been key areas for the success of several sportsmen and women worldwide.

One of the sports that has won many supporters in Angola, is JiuJitsu. Several tournaments have been organized and Angolan fighters have won medals in international tournaments.

However, if we do an online survey on the results of the last tournaments, we will have difficulty finding the information. That is why, on Tuesday, 18 in September, the 123 Studio Group presented the first Angolan tournament management platform, Balus.

The platform “Balus”Was presented on the same day that the  second edition of Lobão Cup, to be held on 21 in October this year at the Helmarc Arena (Kilamba)

For registration all athletes must access and register at Balus.

Balus

How does the platform work?

Balus is a combat tournament management platform that helps organize the inscriptions, keys, teams, responsible academies and of course the athletes.

It will also serve as a jiu-jitsu database, with information from all athletes from all gyms in the country. In the first phase, it will be exclusive to jiu-jitsu, but the plan is to expand to other types of combat such as judo, for example.

The platform will be responsible for registering all athletes, grouping them by category (range, age, gender and weight), generate the keys of fights, record the history of athletes' competitions, among other features, all of this automatically.

It will also be possible to check the results of the fights in real time and in 2019 will be implemented the ranking, based on the performance of the athletes in the realized events.

According to Avelino Kiala, responsible for the project, being registered with Balus has some benefits. In addition to being able to participate in the events, athletes will be entitled to a membership card that they must present in all competitions and that guarantees discounts at the physiotherapy clinic Fisio Luanda (located at Helmarc Arena) and at Restaurant Okoku (located in Talatona).

This is an innovative solution that will certainly add value to national jiu-jitsu and to sport in general.
