There is an error in the latest version of iOS 11 which is able to block the iPhone or even prevent access to messaging applications. The failure was discovered by the italian blog Mobile World.
According to the blog, the error causes a message to be typed on the Indian-Telugu keyboards when a message with a specific character is received, blocking the screen and preventing access to messages applications such as iMessage, Whatsapp ou Facebook Messenger.
From the moment the character is received, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), get stuck in a loop, which prevents these applications from being opened and which cause the smartphone to restart constantly.

Expected that Apple will release a fix for the problem. This is not the first time that such a problem has affected iOS. In January, it was detected that just by sending a link, it was possible to “freeze” the iPhones, Apple managed to solve the problem with a new update.
