The famous Crowdfunding, or if you prefer, collecting collective funds for creative projects and innovative used by millions of people, said some hackers had access to their customers' data but that the violation had been repaired.

According to the Kickstarter, the Hackers had access to names of users, emails, postal addresses, phone numbers and encrypted passwords.

The passwords were not revealed, but anyone with computer skills would be able to decrypt encrypted passwords.

The above words were given by Kickstarter to show users how serious the problem was, so they warned them to change their Kickstarter passwords and those of other sites or accounts if they use the same password.

The CEO of Kickstarter, Yancey Strickler, pronounced on the attack:

No credit card data has been accessed by the hackers and there is no evidence of any unauthorized activity on any account.

Kickstarter has been released on 2009 as a channel for funding projects ranging from movies and shows to video games and restaurant launches. Users who are interested in a project can contribute to the project launch and are often compensated in some way like: discounts, credits or other project offers.

Since its launch more than 100.000 projects have been funded, with hundreds of millions of dollars pledged.

So, if you're a KickStarter user, run! Change your password now.
