The lack of internet and electricity has made it difficult to collect revenue from the Single Reference Platform for Payment to the State (RUPE) and the Portal do Munícipe, in Huambo province, something that the Secretary of State for Finance for the Budget and Public Investments, Aia-Eza da Silva, already warned months ago.

According to what was revealed by the Finance delegate in the province of Huambo, João Bastos, speaking to ANGOP, says that this constraint is occurring, most of the time, in some municipal administrations and general and university education institutions in that province , which also informs that these inconveniences are the main problems for the implementation of the instruments in question, with a view to raising revenue through fees charged to users.

For the provincial delegate, although he did not go into details, he said that there are still municipal administrations without energy and internet conditions so that revenue collection, through the Municipality Portal is effective, a situation that also arises in some institutions of general and university education, to guarantee the normal functioning of the RUPE.

In addition to these difficulties, João Bastos considered the results achieved to be satisfactory, specifically in revenue collection during the year 2021, with a total of 514 million Kwanzas, against more than 120 million in the same previous period.

Still in an interview with the Angolan agency, the Finance delegate that his institution will continue to work with the aforementioned institutions, in order to overcome the same difficulties, in order to raise the rates in terms of revenue collection.
